The required quorum was met and the amendment passed unanimously.
The amendment has been recorded with the county and the website has been updated with the amended Declaration of Resrictions, (both the official version using the link at the top of each page and the unofficial searchable 8.5 x 11 version linked on the General Info page. (See letter from Secretary).
The approved amendment to the Declaration of Restrictions is as follows:
39. Replace the word “maintenance” with “related expenses” in paragraph 16. F.
40. Add a new paragraph 16. I. as follows:
All lake related expenses including but not limited to chemical treatment,
aeration, legal fees and judgments, municipal taxes or assessments, and
management of aquatic species will be paid from the annual lake maintenance
fees or special lake assessments as determined by the board of directors.
The 2025 annual meeting of the Forest Lake Homeowners' Association was held on March 12th, 2025 at the Shelby Township Municipal Building board room, 52700 Van Dyke Ave. Shelby Township.
